Get ready for Easter with some delicious seasonal bakes. In this class we’ll be making a saffron, sultana and honey loaf, cream filled Swedish Semlor buns with cardamon and roasted almond marzipan, an orange and anise glazed enriched dough wreath and of course, the star of the show, Hot cross buns using locally milled flour and lots of spiced fruits.

Under the careful guidance of your teacher you’ll master a range of techniques and learn how to adapt recipes and at the end of the class you’ll have a range of delicious yeasted sweet breads and buns to take home and share with family and friends.

Refreshments will be served throughout the day and a light lunch will be provided and enjoyed with a glass of wine or beer. The experience will leave you confident to be able to apply your new skills and knowledge at home. Most of the products baked in the class can be frozen (so they’ll be ready to enjoy at Easter) - advice will be given during the class.

The class starts at 9am for a 9.15am start. Finish time will be between 4 and 5pm.

Maximum 6 people per class, includes lunch, refreshments, course notes and all your day’s bakes to take home.

This course uses wheat, dairy, eggs and nuts. Unfortunately we aren’t able to tailor recipes for substitutions or alterations. For more information regarding our ingredients, please contact us before booking your course.
